- considering the prize for each race covers the cost of one car, then you include the sponsership which covers the team members salary, the driver usually makes about $200,000 per year, which is extremely good considering I live off about $50,000 per year (if i'm lucky) and i'm considered middle class, so the driver is very wealthy, but the driver is not million dollers per race rich, and it also depends on how much the sponsor pays and where the driver finishes.

- I recently got interested in NASCAR after realizing how much skill the drivers actually have to have, it's actually kind of exiting to watch. I also watch F1 and standard rally races and now I have added NASCAR to that list.
