- how about a video showing this thing cutting some grass and weeds.
- I bought this same trimmer and the charge lasts long enough (at least 30 minutes) considering it's only a 2.0 amp hour battery.  I agree that that the 90 minutes on the box is a lie but I don't care.  It's not the first time a manufacturer has lied about performance.  2.0 amp hours does not give you 2 hours of performance.  I have a Rechargemower G2 and it has 3 12v  85amp hour  SLA batteries at 36 volts and it usually lasts about 2 hours depending on how tall/thick the grass is.

I've probably used this trimmer more than you by this point and I have noticed that while the initial few times I used it, the battery died quickly.  As I've used and charged it several more times, the battery has actually been lasting longer.  I don't know if you knew, lithium ion batteries take some time to break in so in fact as you charge them more, they actually retain their charge longer.

I'm not sure why you're running it at high speed non-stop.  I run it on the low setting and just use the throttle to run it up to a higher rpm when needed.  I agree spare batteries are expensive so why don't you just buy the chainsaw you were talking about as well so you can be charging one battery while you're using the other one?

One of the other nice things that you didn't mention about this trimmer is the detachable boom.  I'm not familiar with the other electric trimmers but I remember reading reviews of people complaining that the trimmer they got didn't have this option. With this, you buy gas trimmer attachments like an edger, chainsaw boom for branches, etc.

I don't think this trimmer is all that heavy and if you think it is, why don't you just buy a harness and hook it up to the harness attachment on the trimmer?

If you ask me, I think this is probably the best electric trimmer on the market at this point.  I don't know anyone else that sells an 80v trimmer and that's a lot of power for a trimmer.  I think if you're worried about runtime, you should probably make some adjustments to your way of thinking.  This is not a gas model, so if you want continuous runtime, you're going to need a second battery so one can be charging while you're using the other one.  The charger charges the battery quite quickly so by the time the one you're using is dead, the other will be ready.
- Did you get another model? I'm torn between the Dewalt and the Echo, it comes down to second battery or attachment capabilities.
- Most stores just haven't gotten them in stock, I live the Dallas area and only 1 store out of like 6 or 7 have them.  I know most are trying to clear out those 40 volt lines from last year.  http://www.lowes.com/pd_623439-53393-KST+140XB-06_0__  I was able to check the inventory at that page.
- What happened to them?  I tried to buy one yesterday but it was gone from my local Lowe's and now it's gone from the web site too.  I wonder if there was a problem with them.
