- I got this set as a gift this year after black friday from a good friend. They have updated it which i'm glad. The tools are pretty decent though. wasn't bad for a 89$ tool set i'd buy kobalt again

- Sounds like someone needs to stop using their 1/4" set to "crank down" or "break" things loose. Ive never been worried about scraping or busting my knuckles while working on a project, regardless whether I'm using snap-on, SK, Craftsman, duracraft(farm &fleet) or pittsburgh. Use the proper tool and size for the job and you'll be fine. If your like me and work in building maintenance, with a toolbox at each building (5 of them) it gets expensive buying all brand name stuff. Multiply ur set by 5.

- Most tools will do the job? Most cheap tools will break. Do you want to risk busting your knuckles when a socket breaks? I rather spend money on quality wrenches and sockets and not break my hand. I like to feel confidant when I crank down on a bolt the socket is not going to bust then bust my hand. If you don't care about your hands by all means buy cheap china tools.

- Yeah the Sears you say "how do they keep the doors open?" It's tough because most cheap asses like yourself prefer chinese made stuff so you go to Lowes. Craftsman is now chinese made mostly so they can stay alive for people like you.

- Husky, Kobalt, Craftsman they are all great tools , Harbor freight you have to pick and choose some stuff is GREAT, and some Stuff I have had that broke right outta the box, It all depends on the steel and the hardening of it, To brittle will snap outta the package, all steel has to have some give.
