Dyskusja o Kobalt 15 in 1 Multi-tool: "Above Par But Barely" by Nutnfancy

- I've got this, got it yes bc it was cheap and I was in need of something in a hurry. The knife is moves side to side and I have to constantly keep sharpening it. And the drivers don't work for poo. Like I said I was needing something in a hurry, if I could I would get a leatherman, but funds are limited. Out of a five star I would give it maybe two.
- 2:50 "I'm going to try and make this as quick as I can" Still, you've been yacking and yacking and haven't yet touched the blades.
- Been using mine for quite some time, I wind up wearing the carrier more than the tools. More often than note i use it for the drivers and pliers and my Kershaw 3850 Swerve for cutting tasks (locking thick and wide blade, super inexpensive, I'm surprised how affordable the knife turned out to be!). Thanks for the video, Nutn. <3
- Oh my days I just burst out laughing when you popped that serrated blade out!
But for $15 you can't complain!
- With the Leatherman Wingman and Sidekick, there's really no need for an informed buyer to purchase anything less than a great quality MultiTool. The Leathermans cost $10 more, have much more safety and functionality, and support USA jobs and manufacturing.
- I have two of these, can't beat it for the cost and warranty with a light duty mind set use of this tool. If it breaks within proper use ( not prying with the blade) you walk into Lowes without a receipt or box and they will replace it with no questions asked.
- That combo serrated blade reminds me of like a prehistoric shark. Ugly as sin, lol.
- So basically Cobalt or whoever they paid to make this tool stole the plier design from Leatherman, the can opener and bottle opener designs from Victorinox, produced them in an inferior steel and stuck them on an inferior multitool. Lazy AND no creativity.
- My Gerber multitools are my loaners...
- Non locking tools dont have to be bad. Leatherman Kick also had non locking tool but it's not bad, still a great tool to have :)
- Well Andrew it had a defect where the steel was super soft and I could not even cut a paper clip without them getting stuck...also it is a very good tool but mine just had a problem so I am getting them replaced with the warranty
- You are sending back an excellent multitool that is pretty much superior other wise for this $15 thing?
- damn those pliers are way better than my leatherman wave...sending it back
- Thanks for this vid just talk be out of buying a pair. I'm saving my dough for a surge black oxide
- hah sheffield.
- Material/metal is 420 stainless as printed on my Sheffield multi tool, so I am assuming the Kobalt is the exact same, because it has all the same tools, size, weight, looks (to an extent), and the overall feel and performance is the same in my paper and cardboard cutting to see if the edges start dulling. Both dulled after around 230 cuts, and afterward the cardboard showed some resistance to both. That's not too bad for a cheapo MT.
- Amen.
- 20Mm=2Cm=little less than 1 inch
- Next up is the MUT
- I have the Kolbolt as my backup MT with the blast as my everyday carry. The Kolbolt would be a good MT for someone new.to the MT addiction. your assessment about these 2 tools are spot on .
