- Hey, I don't know if you check your comments or not, but I was looking at this for a project I am doing. I am dadoing with my skillsaw at the moment, via the nibble method and and a speed square. It's a chore. I was looking at this saw for the slide feature. But It looked to me like the blade would not slide back far enough to make a complete dado cut. What I mean is, if the stock is up against the fence, and you have the depth of cut set to 1/2 inch. It looks like the bade is won't push back far enough to complete a full cut. It looks like it would leave a ski jump at the back of the stock where the slider can't quite cut through the wood all the way. Can you comment on this? Can you get a full dado style cut with this saw? Or will I be whacking the last bit out with a chisel.
