- Alan, the fence when fixed to the telescoped rails when exiting the table top envelope is a copy of the Original Jimmy Jig
- Alan, when all these copy cat's fixed fence exits the table top envelope, that is plainly the technology of the Original Jimmy jig, check it out, credit where credit Is due , slainte math
- I purchased this saw in November 2013 and I've used it extensively for a year. Last week the "up/down" gear locked up. It is a 'direct' screw and it looks like it cross threaded. I returned it for an exchange today - no problem - but the new one is 'rough' when raising. It seems like a matter of time before it succumbs to the same fate as my last one so I don't want to use it (thinking about getting my money back). Any suggestions?
- Bought this yesterday for $200 plus an extra discount.
I bought it because I needed one obviously, but I can always return if I don't end up opening it.
I am debating buying the DeWalt still. I can't make decisions!
- Just bought it yesterday for 2 bills, excited!
- Thank you for the review
- If you are not very concerned with precision (accurate repeatability) then this saw is for you.  It has no blade height adjustment lock so the blade height will change as the blade slides down with use, so much for functional dado joints.  The blade motor is mounted to sheet metal of insufficient gage as it deflects when pressure is applied, so much for a true square and straight cut.  The sad thing is that this could have been an outstanding contractor saw if they had just spent alittle more money for better parts and slight design changes.  The sad thing is that not even the Bosch 41009-09) contractor saw has a blade height lock (What were they thinking?). So knowing this, purchase at your own risk.
- Lowes has them on a Father's Day special starting today, June 11, 2014 and running for a few days (probably through Sunday.

The sale price is $199, that's $80 savings from the normal $279.99.

Look for a promotional coupon online and get an extra 10%, for a total price of $180 plus sales tax. Buy the saw online to use the 10% coupon, but choose the store pick up option and then there is no shipping. I bought mine today along with a Dremel 3000 and both were $253 incl Calif sales tax.
- +CorpusChristiGuy  How loud is the saw?  I was under the impression that most direct drive saws are super loud.  Anything you don't like about it?  Thanks!
- Yes, you can run up to a 5/8" Dado stack. I made my own zero clearance insert. Works great.
- Can this saw use dado blade?
- You need to make sure that you full unlock and then lock the Back lock on the fence when you adjust it. Pull up on the lock and then relock it down.
- My problem with the fence is that it doesn't lock well especially at the back end.  It wiggles as much as 1/4".  I am going to see if I can pad or replace the mechanism; otherwise, I like the saw.
- They arnt really important. They just keep the outfeed support spaced back slightly. You can either keep them on or remove them.
- Question, I assembled this saw and I am confused with the step to install the hex bolts to the back feed support. If I have the bolts in then the support does not flush fit to the table saw. Hope i make sense ? Sorry to bother
