+Mike X Aluminum mining isn't so bad, really. A huge percentage of the bauxite mined on earth is shipped to Iceland to be smelted with their excess geothermal electricity. Mining for gold and rare earth metals is much more destructive.
- its extremly bad for the planet and enviroment doing this. iron bauxite mining is slowly eating away the planet. essentially we are consuming rocky parts of the planet and turning it into metal products. if you think of the earth as a very large giant rock and we are eating away at it by mining resources that is not renewable. all these everyday metal products that are being made in factories are consuming the planet. there will be consequences
- Humans simply amaze me. What I wonder is how they found the actual resource, how they figured out turning it into aliminum, who invented all these machines, etc. My mind gives fatal error when think too much about it :)
