- Your work is the definition of craftsmanship!
- Fantastic work you've been a real inspiration I've always wanted to try this and now I can
Thank you
- Spectacular work!
- Brilliant. Thanks for sharing the knowledge, What is the recommended flux [in the white tub] when filling the joint with the Aluminium fillet.
- what gauge is the alum looking to make a seat pan
- Lovely work and a pleasure to be able to see the whole process performed by a skilled hand.

I have an little '68 Honda CL175 "sloper" which I've been messing with for a while and the little mite just seems to scream "tiny race bike" and have really fancied modeling the machine after the little race bike of the sixties, like the CR93.  A tank similar to what you built in the video is exactly what I wanted to do.  Long and narrow so you could get your knees right up in there, just like Mike Hailwood.

Most of the tanks for sale were fiberglass, and I want aluminum/aluminium, and well I like doing things myself so I started searching on how to make one and couldn't believe my luck when I found your video.  I think I've watched it 3 times now.  Exactly what I was looking for and inspired me to get more work out of my gas setup!

Will be up at the aluminum merchant this week.

Thanks again for posting.

PS - RE: these kids today...I'm not that young (42), but don't give up on the younger generation.  Some of us (and, uh hum, younger), still like to get our hands dirty and actually make things!
- You should teach those kind of metal skills 'caz in short time they will be lost and what you make with your own hands a machine will never recreate the same way...this is art!! Teach young lads to work on metals so the next generation will have the same things that we still got today! Keep up the good work!
- Hi  Pete, Stunningly great gas tank job!  Can I have an email address, because I,ve got several questions  beyond these two. Is the aluminum 1/16 gauge, and is it H14 or "half-hard" it's called in the U.S. Thanks! I'm Ron. Best Wishes.
- Incredible ... that has to be the most mesmerizing 40 minutes I've spent on YouTube in the last few years ... I am definitely inspired!
- You're quite the master! Thanks for sharing some of your knowledge, not many know much about this art and even fewer show others.
- Absolutely incredible! Such a beautiful example of hand craftsmanship! Thank you for sharing with us!
- Beautiful inspirational workmanship!
- Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- True artist... Amazing Work!
- Lovely work Pete! I've been pissing and moaning for the past couple years about not having AC tig for aluminum. It hadn't occurred to me to use OA. I'd never heard of it nor seen anyone do it! Feeling rather foolish, but excited! Off to find flux...Thank you!
- I am an Electrician as well, i wish i could spend a few months in your shop learning what you have learned over the years.
- Nicely done, Pete! An artist at work or play, whichever you prefer. Very informative and easy to see a well planned pattern pays off every time. You do have good eye. Keep the throttle up!
- Really great work here and despite it being a long video I'm glad I watched it all the way through. Definitely a lot to learn and take in so I've bookmarked it for future reference. I've wanted to start making parts for my own motorcycles for a while now and this video has inspired me to have a go. Really good stuff here. Thank you.
